If you're anything like me, you might hear 'menopause', think of old grannies in rocking chairs and exclaim "This doesn't apply to me! I still have a period for goodness sake"


The thing is, menopause itself is a one day event - the last day of your last period. Only you won't know that until one year afterwards. But the menopause transition can last for many years... even after the official menopause event. 


Most people will begin to notice symptoms somewhere between 45 and 52, but it can start earlier. Being aware of and able to respond to the signals your body is giving you will make a difference.
